Access policy

Open Access

Avestia journals are published under an open access model that allows unrestricted and free access to published articles while authors retain copyright.

Policy

All journals published by Avestia are based on the Open Access model. Unlike traditional publishing, this model allows unrestricted and free access to the full content of published articles, while publication costs are covered by the authors or their institutions.

Permission is granted to readers to distribute, copy, and use the material with proper citation and referencing. Copyright is retained by the authors.

Every article remains subject to peer review by several experts in the field, and the publication process does not change from traditional scholarly publishing standards.

For authors

The open access model removes subscription barriers for readers. Publication costs are handled through article processing charges after acceptance, as described in the Author Guidelines.

For readers

Readers may access full-text articles without subscription fees. Articles may be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, or linked to according to Avestia policies and the applicable license terms.

Portico archiving

Avestia journals with ISSNs are permanently archived through Portico.
